Momma Joan's DAILY Affirmations

My beloved mother passed away in 2014 after an excruciating battle with Parkinson's. These affirmations were taped to her bathroom mirror and helped her wisely navigate the many struggles she faced in life. She had a deep wisdom and kindness that was born out of the darkness she endured with her physical and mental health. I have constant reminders of her continued spiritual presence in my life. She visits me as hummingbirds, cardinals and dragonflies. Through my travels, I learned that many others have experienced spiritual messengers like birds, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, lady bugs, etc. Many of these have also been worshiped for millennia by indigenous cultures for their connection to Source. I love creating artwork to honor these types of divine messengers and can even incorporate your loved ones ashes in a custom piece to honor your special guardian angel. My GuarDIAN ANGEL

I found art as therapy after my mother passed and was able to redirect my grief into a new found passion and purpose to serve others and share her wisdom. I love to connect with my clients and hear stories of their loved ones and their personal connections to spirit. This phenomena is more common than I could have ever imagined. I then do my best to "channel" that emotional connection into a custom piece of artwork to honor your precious loved one. I often feel a guiding presence when creating my artwork that I believe is spiritually guided.

Hummingbird

Hummingbirds have long been regarded as potent symbols of spirituality in various cultures and belief systems around the world. These exquisite creatures are often associated with profound spiritual qualities and are seen as messengers that bridge the gap between the earthly and the divine realms. Encountering a hummingbird is believed to carry a message or sign from loved ones who have passed away, providing comfort and guidance.

DragonFLY

In many cultures, dragonflies are believed to be messengers from the spiritual, non-physical realms. If you've been seeing a lot of dragonflies lately, it could be your spirit guides or ancestors offering you guidance or protection. Dragonflies have long been associated with new beginnings, rebirth and transformation. During their life span, dragonflies undergo a metamorphosis and transformation within themselves. From being unseen to spreading their wings above ground and showcasing their beauty, dragonflies symbolize new beginnings on the horizon. Their delicate and ephemeral appearance is associated with the thin veil between the material world and the world of spirit.

Angel

These guardian angel pieces can be created in a variety of styles and colors to honor the special angels in your life. My mother's favorite color was turquoise and it often inspires my art.

ButterFLY

For many cultures, butterflies represent the soul of the departed, with people often believing that seeing a butterfly is akin to being in the presence of the spirit and protection of their loved one. Seeing a butterfly after someone dies can be a comforting sign that they are at peace, letting loved ones know that they are happy. In some cultures, they’re seen as a guide to the afterlife, helping deceased spirits on their way.

Cardinal

Many different cultures throughout history revere the cardinal and believe that cardinals are spiritual messengers. In many cultures, people believe that cardinal birds are the reincarnated souls of loved ones or a family member who has passed away. The presence of a cardinal signifies beauty in the midst of darkness, hope in the midst of sorrow, and renewal in the midst of winter.

Hearts
